A New Rambøll report, 'CO2 savings by conventional construction', prepared for Dansk Beton, Danske Tegl and VarmeIsolerings Foreningen, indicates that by using state-of-the-art CO2-reduced concrete, masonry and insulation in LCA calculations, relevant reduction in the carbon footprint (up to 30%) can be achieved in the different cases analyzed: single-family houses, terraced houses and multi-storey dwellings.The report confirms the benefit in using Cementir’s FUTURECEM™ as key ingredient for a lower carbon concrete down to 25% in comparison with a standard concrete made with OPC.
