As of 15 May, Søren Holm Christensen (39 years) has been appointed the new Head of the Nordic and Baltic region of the Aalborg Portland Holding Group, which is part of the Italian Cementir Group.

When taking up his new appointment, Søren Holm Christensen will effectively become the Senior Head of approx. 1,000 employees in the region. The region encompasses among others the cement company Aalborg Portland, one of Denmark’s largest industrial companies, and the concrete company Unicon, which has 80 plants in Denmark, Norway and Sweden as well as companies in Poland, Russia, Iceland and France.

Through Aalborg Portland, Unicon and its other subsidiaries, the Cementir Group is the global market leader of white cement and the Scandinavian leader of ready-mixed concrete.

Søren Holm Christensen holds a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Aalborg University and Aarhus School of Business. He has been part of the Cementir Group for more than ten years, and he has been the managing Director of Unicon in Denmark since 2015. Previously, he has held the position as Nordic Finance Director at Cementir Holding.

Søren Holm Christensen replaces Piero Corpina who has left the Group to pursue other opportunities outside of Cementir.
